An excellent alternative for crop rotation since it has a different root system, much more aggressive than corn, and a capacity to recycle nutrients, mainly potassium.

The cost of production is practically 35 to 40% less than corn and has a very similar grain yield potential.

Some of the advantages in relation to corn:

Lower production cost.

No attack of cigarrita (Dalbulus maidis).

Aggressive root system.

It has a negative influence on the reproduction factor of the main nematode species.

Super precocious cycle (110 days to harvest).

Easy to commercialize.

Another of the most important characteristics of sorghum is its greater tolerance to water stress, its use of water is much more efficient and it needs 100 mm less rainfall to complete the cycle.
